Terms of Service
Effective: July 21, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the conditions for using the iOS app "Route Measure" ("the App") provided by AI Vision Technology Co., Ltd. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
Article 1 (Application)
These Terms apply to all relationships between the Company and users regarding use of the App. Downloads, updates, in-app purchases, and refunds are also governed by the App Store terms and other applicable rules established by Apple Inc.
Article 2 (About the App)
The App uses pins placed by the user on a map to calculate segment distances, the total distance across all segments, and the straight-line distance from the first pin to the last. It also provides saving, viewing, backup, restore, and export features.
The App is not intended for turn-by-turn directions, navigation, land surveying, property registration, legal evidence, safety decisions, or other professional purposes.
Article 3 (System Requirements)
A supported device and operating system are required. An internet connection may be required for maps, place search, in-app purchases, purchase restoration, destination services selected for sharing, and maps in exported HTML files.
Article 4 (Location, Maps, and Distance Information)
If you choose to show your current location, the App uses device location information after receiving your permission. You can place pins and measure distances without granting access to your current location.
The accuracy of location, maps, search results, and distances may vary due to the device, operating system, GPS, network conditions, map data, and other factors. Distances are reference values calculated along geodesic lines between coordinates placed on the map. They do not guarantee actual road distance, accessibility, property boundaries, or survey results.
Article 5 (Data Storage)
Pins, route names, creation dates, measurement history, and settings are generally stored on your device. The App does not send or store this information or your current location on Company-operated servers.
When you use backup, export, or sharing features, your action may transmit data to a storage location or destination outside your device.
Article 6 (Data Management and Backup)
You are responsible for saving, backing up, restoring, deleting, sharing, and transferring your data. Data may be lost if your device is lost, damaged, reset, or if the App is deleted.
Article 7 (Export and Sharing)
You may export saved measurements as CSV, GPX, KML, or HTML files. Exported files may contain route names, creation dates, distances, pin coordinates, and other information. You are responsible for checking their contents, destination, visibility, and storage location before use.
Article 8 (Full Access)
The free version can save one measurement at a time. A one-time, non-consumable Full Access in-app purchase unlocks unlimited saved measurements. Purchase price, payment, restoration, and refunds are governed by the App Store and Apple Inc. terms and procedures.
Article 9 (Prohibited Conduct)
You must not:
Violate laws or public order and morals;
Infringe third-party rights, privacy, honor, or reputation;
Improperly modify, analyze, or reverse engineer the App;
Interfere with the App or the Company's operations; or
Engage in any other conduct the Company considers inappropriate.
Article 10 (Intellectual Property)
All intellectual property rights in the App and its software, designs, images, text, logos, and other content belong to the Company or their lawful owners.
Article 11 (Third-Party Services)
The App uses maps, location, place search, App Store, and sharing features provided by Apple. Exported HTML maps may connect to external map-tile and content-delivery services when opened. Each provider's terms and privacy policy apply to those services.
Article 12 (Changes, Suspension, and Termination)
The Company may change the App's content, features, specifications, supported operating systems, or delivery method, or suspend or discontinue all or part of the App when necessary.
Article 13 (Disclaimer of Warranties)
The Company does not warrant fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, usefulness, continuity, absence of defects, preservation of data, or operation on every device or operating system.
Article 14 (Limitation of Liability)
Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence by the Company, the Company is not liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the App. Where the Company is liable, liability is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to ordinary and direct damages. Mandatory consumer-protection laws remain applicable.
Article 15 (Changes to These Terms)
The Company may revise these Terms when necessary. Revised Terms take effect when posted on this page or through another method the Company considers appropriate.
Article 16 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute concerning the App or these Terms is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the Company's location as the court of first instance.
AI Vision Technology Co., Ltd. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") establishes this Privacy Policy for the handling of user information in the iOS app "Route Measure" ("the App").
1. Information Processed by the App
The App processes the following information on your device to provide its features:
Latitude and longitude of pins you place on the map;
Route names, creation dates, total route distance, and segment distances;
Unfinished measurements and saved measurement history;
Your device location when you choose current-location display and grant permission;
In-app purchase entitlement status; and
Backup and export files you create.
2. Purposes of Use
This information is used to display maps and your current location, calculate distances, save and display history, check purchase entitlement, create and restore backups, export files, and share files. Current location is used only to show your position on the map when you request it.
3. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Unfinished measurements, saved history, and settings are generally stored on your device until you delete them in the App or remove the App from your device. You can delete saved history individually.
Files saved outside the App through backup or export remain in the destination you selected and must be deleted there by you. The Company cannot access those files.
4. Transmission to Company Servers
The App does not transmit or store pin coordinates, measurement history, current location, route names, or other measurement data on Company-operated servers.
5. External Services and Third-Party Processing
The App uses Apple's MapKit for maps and place search, Core Location for current-location display, and StoreKit and the App Store for in-app purchases. Search terms and other data needed to provide search may be processed by Apple when you search for a place. Information needed to complete a purchase may be processed by Apple when you make or restore a purchase. Apple's terms and privacy policies apply.
If you use the sharing feature, the file is sent to the destination you select. Opening an exported HTML map may connect to OpenStreetMap, CARTO, and related content-delivery services to display map content. Each provider handles information under its own terms and privacy policy.
6. Disclosure to Third Parties
The Company does not obtain measurement data or location information from the App and does not disclose it to third parties, except where initiated by your sharing action, required to use an external service, or required by law.
7. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The App does not use advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs.
8. Your Location Choices
Location access is optional. You can change or revoke permission in iOS Settings. Pin-based distance measurement remains available if you revoke permission.
9. Security
The App is designed to minimize the information it handles and to keep measurement data on the device by default. You are responsible for protecting your device, Apple Account, and files saved outside the App.
10. Changes to This Policy
The Company may revise this Policy in response to changes in law, services, or App features. Revised content takes effect when posted on this page.
